Solomon is an oratorio by George Frideric Handel, composed in 1748 and first performed in 1749. The work exemplifies Handel's mature Baroque choral-orchestral style, combining choral writing, solo arias and recitative with instrumental interludes to set a biblical narrative, and it sits among his later oratorios that contributed to the English choral tradition.
