String Quartets Nos. 14 and 15 are the fourteenth and fifteenth string quartets by Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich, composed in 1973 and 1974. They belong to his late-period chamber output and are characterised by spare textures, concentrated motifs, stark dissonances and an introspective, meditative quality that reflects his late stylistic focus on brevity and contrapuntal clarity.
