Symphony no. 9
Album by Anton Bruckner & Staatskapelle Dresden & Eugen Jochum
Symphony No. 9 is the final symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, left unfinished at his death in 1896. A late-Romantic orchestral work characterised by expansive structures, dense brass chorales and a deeply contemplative slow movement, it represents the culmination of Bruckner's symphonic development and occupies an important place in the late-Romantic repertoire despite its incomplete finale.
