Symphony No. 3 is the third symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1873. The work is a large-scale Romantic symphony characterised by expansive orchestration, dramatic contrasts and cyclical thematic processes, and it marks a formative stage in Bruckner's symphonic writing as he developed the monumental structures and harmonic language he would use in his later symphonies.
