Symphony no. 5

Album by Anton Bruckner & Deutsches Symphonie‐Orchester Berlin & Günter Wand

Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major is the fifth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1876. The symphony is a large-scale Romantic orchestral work characterised by dense contrapuntal textures, expansive formal designs and a prominent brass sonority that reflects Bruckner's mature symphonic idiom and his systematic approach to structure within the late-19th-century symphonic tradition.
