One‐Upmanship

One-Upmanship is an album by the Mal Waldron Quintet, released in 1977. It is rooted in post-bop jazz with modal harmonies and extended improvisation, and it comes from Waldron's late 1970s period when he explored longer forms and close ensemble interaction.
