Piano Quartets
Album by Gabriel Fauré & Domus
Piano Quartets are a set of two chamber works by French composer Gabriel Fauré, composed in the late 19th century (1879 and 1886). They combine Romantic lyricism with a refined harmonic language in intimate piano-and-strings textures, and they trace a development in Fauré’s style that points toward his later, more harmonically exploratory works.
First released: September 1986
