Symphony No. 10 is the tenth symphony by Dmitri Shostakovich, completed and first performed in 1953. The four-movement orchestral work features stark contrasts, recurring motifs and an often severe orchestral language that many scholars read as engaging with the political aftermath of Stalin's death, and it marks a significant turning point in Shostakovich's symphonic output.
