The Firebird is a ballet and orchestral suite by Russian composer Igor Stravinsky, composed in 1909–1910 and premiered in 1910. The score combines Russian folk-inspired melodies and colourful orchestration with innovative rhythms and harmonies, and it helped establish Stravinsky's reputation while signalling a shift toward modernist tendencies in early 20th-century music.
