"Kullervo" Symphony

Kullervo is a symphonic work by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, first performed in 1892. Rooted in Finnish national romanticism, it combines large-scale orchestral forces with vocal soloists and choir and folk-influenced motifs, occupying a pivotal early position in Sibelius's career that foreshadowed his later symphonic writing.
