Symphony no. 3
Album by Anton Bruckner & BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra & Osmo Vänskä
Symphony No. 3 is the third symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1873. The work combines expansive Romantic orchestration with dense contrapuntal textures and Wagnerian influences, and represents an important step in Bruckner's development as a symphonist towards the large-scale, late-Romantic forms he would later refine.
