Symphony no. 3
Album by Anton Bruckner & Münchner Philharmoniker & Sergiu Celibidache
Symphony No. 3 is the third symphony by Anton Bruckner, composed between 1873 and 1877. The work is a large-scale Romantic orchestral composition characterised by expansive, organ-like brass writing, dense orchestral textures and protracted developmental structures, and it represents an early stage in Bruckner's progression toward his mature symphonic voice.
