Stabat Mater is a choral composition by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, completed in 1877. Scored for soloists, mixed chorus and orchestra in a late-Romantic Czech idiom, it features expansive lyrical lines, rich harmonic colour and dramatic contrasts, and occupies a significant place in Dvořák's sacred output as an example of his mature choral writing.
