Kaiserwalzer
Album by Johann Strauss & Ferenc Fricsay
Kaiserwalzer is a waltz by Austrian composer Johann Strauss II, composed in 1889. The piece has sweeping orchestral waltz themes, marked triple-time rhythms and a stately closing section, and it came late in Strauss's career as an example of his large-scale orchestral dance works that moved from salon music into the concert repertoire.
