Symphony no. 1
Album by Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin & The Philadelphia Orchestra & Riccardo Muti
Symphony No. 1 is the first symphony by Russian composer Alexander Scriabin, completed in 1899. The orchestral work employs late-Romantic harmonies, expansive orchestration and flowing lyrical themes, reflecting Scriabin's early post-Romantic style and standing as a transitional piece between his conservative beginnings and his later more chromatic and mystical output.
