Symphony No. 2 "Resurrection" is the second symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1894. The work blends late-Romantic orchestral writing with large-scale choral and solo vocal passages and shifts from sombre, dramatic orchestral textures to expansive, hymn-like choral climaxes, and it follows Mahler's earlier symphonies and expands the role of voice in symphonic form.
