Hittin’ the Note is The Allman Brothers Band’s final studio album, released in 2003 and the first without founding guitarist Dickey Betts, featuring the twin‑guitar pairing of Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks. The band are rooted here in Southern rock and electric blues, favouring extended improvisation and ensemble interplay.
