Symphony No. 3 is the third symphony by Polish composer Henryk Górecki, completed in 1976 and first performed in 1977. Scored for soprano and orchestra, the work employs spare, repetitive motifs, slow tempi and a sombre, meditative tonal language that represented a move away from Górecki's earlier avant‑garde techniques and is often cited as an example of late‑20th‑century Polish modernism.
