String Quartets

Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & Jiří Pauer & Leoš Janáček & Doležal Quartet

String Quartets is a collection of chamber works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed throughout the 1770s and 1780s. They display Classical-era clarity of form, conversational interplay among the instruments and increasing contrapuntal and harmonic complexity, and they mark a stage in Mozart's development as a chamber composer moving from earlier galant textures towards the denser writing of his later works.
