Symphony no. 4
Album by Gustav Mahler & hr‐Sinfonieorchester & Eliahu Inbal & Helen Donath
Symphony No. 4 is the fourth symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1900. Scored for a moderately sized late-Romantic orchestra, it combines luminous orchestration, a relatively concise four-movement design and a concluding movement for soprano that sets a poem about innocence, placing it between Mahler's earlier large-scale works and his later, more expansive symphonies within his symphonic output.
