Symphony no. 1

Album by Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff & Filharmonia Bałtycka & Paweł Przytocki

Symphony No. 1 is the first symphony by Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff, premiered in 1897. A late-Romantic orchestral work characterised by dense textures, sweeping melodies and dramatic orchestration, it represents an early large-scale composition in Rachmaninoff's career that preceded his later, more mature works.
