Cello Concertos

Album by Antonín Dvořák & Edward Elgar & Maria Kliegel & Royal Philharmonic Orchestra & Michael Halász

Cello Concerto in B minor, Op. 104 is a cello concerto by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, composed in 1894–1895. The work exemplifies late-Romantic orchestration with expansive, folk-inflected melodies and demanding lyrical writing for the solo cello, and it occupies a central place in the cello repertoire as one of Dvořák's major late-period compositions.
