The String Quartet in G minor, Op. 10 is the only string quartet by French composer Claude Debussy, composed and first performed in 1893. The work showcases Debussy's impressionistic harmonic palette, fluid rhythms and innovative use of timbre within the chamber ensemble, and represents a turning point in his move away from late-Romantic models toward a more colouristic, modal and motivic approach that influenced early 20th-century chamber music.
