Má Vlast
Album by Bedřich Smetana & 札幌交響楽団 & Radomil Eliška
Má Vlast is a cycle of six symphonic poems by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, composed between 1874 and 1879. The work uses late-Romantic orchestral colours and nationalistic thematic material to evoke landscapes and historical themes, and it stands as a central piece of Smetana's mature output and of 19th-century Czech national music.
