Cello Concerto
Album by Antonín Dvořák & Kian Soltani & Staatskapelle Berlin & Daniel Barenboim
The Cello Concerto in B minor, Op. 104, is a concerto for cello and orchestra by Antonín Dvořák, completed in 1894–1895 and first performed in 1896. Stylistically rooted in the late Romantic tradition, the work blends Czech folk‑inspired melodies with rich orchestral writing to foreground the cello's lyrical and virtuosic capacities, and it is one of Dvořák's major late works and a central piece of the cello repertoire.
