In C is a 1968 album by American composer Terry Riley. The recording presents a sequence of short melodic cells played by a flexible ensemble with each performer free to repeat and overlap motifs, producing layered, rhythmic and harmonically static textures that played a central role in the development of musical minimalism and marked an early milestone in Riley's career.
