Album by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky & Antonín Dvořák & Edvard Grieg & Liszt Ferenc Kamarazenekar & János Rolla
Sérénade for Strings, Op. 48 is a serenade for string orchestra by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, completed in 1880 and first performed in 1881. The work features lyrical slow movements, energetic dance-like sections and warm, interwoven string textures characteristic of the Romantic era, and it occupies an important place in Tchaikovsky's later output as an example of his writing for string ensemble.
