3rd Symphony
Album by Anton Bruckner & Berliner Philharmoniker & Daniel Barenboim
Symphony No. 3 in D minor is the third numbered symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1873. The work combines late-Romantic orchestral writing with expansive formal structures, prominent brass writing and sweeping lyrical passages, and represents an early large-scale statement in Bruckner's career that points towards the monumental style of his later symphonies.
