Verbum nobile

Album by Stanisław Moniuszko & Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Chorus & Europa Galante & Fabio Biondi

Verbum nobile is a one-act comic opera by Polish composer Stanisław Moniuszko, first performed in 1861. Musically it draws on Polish folk rhythms and lyrical vocal lines with relatively light orchestration, and it sits in Moniuszko's output as a concise comic stage work that continues his focus on national themes.
