Pléïades

Album by Iannis Xenakis & DeciBells

Pléïades is a composition by Greek-French composer Iannis Xenakis, written in 1979. The work for six percussionists explores a wide palette of percussion timbres and techniques, employing complex polyrhythms and Xenakis's stochastic and mathematical procedures alongside carefully notated textures, and is characteristic of his late 1970s exploration of large-scale, percussion-centred ensemble writing.
