Cello Concertos
Album by Joseph Haydn & Paul Tortelier & Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn & Jörg Faerber
The Cello Concertos are a set of works by Austrian composer Joseph Haydn, composed in the 1760s–1780s. They are Classical-era concertos characterised by lyrical solo cello writing and clear orchestral accompaniment within formal concerto structures, and they occupy an important place in the development of the cello repertoire and the concerto genre in Haydn's career.
