Album by Ludwig van Beethoven & Michal Mašek & Komorní filharmonie Pardubice & Leoš Svárovský
Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major, Op. 73, commonly called the Emperor Concerto, is a piano concerto by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed in 1809 and published in 1811. The work draws on Classical forms and introduces Romantic elements, with broad orchestral passages and virtuosic piano writing, and it appears near the end of Beethoven's middle period as his largest-scale piano concerto.
