Symphony No. 2 in E flat major is the second symphony by Austrian composer Franz Schmidt, completed in 1899. It is in a late-Romantic orchestral style with a rich harmonic language and sweeping melodic lines, and it came early in Schmidt's career as he moved towards larger scale symphonic writing.
