Symphony no. 2+4
Album by Ludwig van Beethoven & Günter Wand & NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester
Symphony No. 2 and Symphony No. 4 are orchestral works by Ludwig van Beethoven, completed in 1802 and 1806 respectively. They occupy a transitional place in his output between his early Classical influences and his later, more adventurous style, combining clear classical forms, energetic rhythms and expanded orchestration that hint at the expressive scope he would explore in his middle-period works.
