Symphony No. 7 is the seventh symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1905. The work employs an expansive late-Romantic orchestral palette with nocturnal atmospheres, brass-driven fanfares and scherzo-like passages, and occupies a transitional place in Mahler's oeuvre between his earlier large-scale symphonies and his later, more introspective works.
