Concerto pour piano is a piano concerto by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, composed in 1868. Rooted in the Romantic tradition and infused with Norwegian folk-influenced melodies, the work combines lyrical, song-like themes with dramatic orchestral passages and virtuosic piano writing, and it occupies a central place in Grieg's output as his principal large-scale work for piano and orchestra and a touchstone for later Scandinavian composers.
