Expression

Expression is the final studio album by American jazz saxophonist John Coltrane, released posthumously in 1967. The record has a late-period experimental jazz sound that moves toward free improvisation, with extended saxophone lines, sparse rhythmic support and passages of modal and atonal writing, and it closes Coltrane's move toward freer forms in his recorded output.
