Carnaval
Album by Robert Schumann & Canadian Brass
Carnaval, Op. 9, is a piano cycle by Robert Schumann composed in 1834 and published in 1835. It is rooted in Romantic piano music and uses short contrasting character pieces and abrupt shifts of mood to evoke masked figures and a carnival atmosphere, and it is an early mature work in Schumann's career where he develops his approach to miniatures.
