Symphony no. 6
Album by Gustav Mahler & 東京都交響楽団 & Eliahu Inbal
Symphony No. 6 is the sixth symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1904. A large-scale late-Romantic orchestral work, it juxtaposes expansive lyricism, intense rhythmic drive and stark percussive effects and occupies a central place in Mahler's middle-period output as an exploration of fate and tragic struggle.
