String Quartet in G minor, Op. 27 is a string quartet by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, composed in 1878 and published in 1881. The work exemplifies Romantic chamber music with lyrical, folk-influenced themes, rich harmonic language and varied textures that reflect Grieg's engagement with Norwegian musical idioms and represents one of his principal contributions to the chamber-music repertoire.
