The Stone Flower is a ballet by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, composed between 1948 and 1953 and first performed in 1954. The score employs late-Romantic and Soviet-era orchestral language with rich orchestration, folk-influenced themes and vivid orchestral colouring, and stands as one of Prokofiev's late-stage stage works reflecting his continued engagement with dramatic narrative and national material.
