Symphony no. 4

Symphony No. 4 is the fourth symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1900. Scored for a relatively transparent orchestra and concluding with a soprano solo, it combines late-Romantic orchestration, folkloric touches and moments of childlike irony to occupy a more intimate place within Mahler's symphonic output.
