Solomon

Solomon is an oratorio by George Frideric Handel, composed in 1748 and first performed in 1749. It is scored with Italianate solo writing, large-scale choral passages, dance-influenced instrumental movements and a varied orchestral palette, and it was written during Handel's later oratorio period when he focused on dramatic Old Testament themes.
