The Music Easel is a portable modular synthesiser manufactured by Buchla and introduced in 1973. Its touch-sensitive keyboard and complex oscillator design made it a favourite of experimental composers and was used by Suzanne Ciani and Morton Subotnick to pioneer electronic music as an art form.
