Surf Punk

Surf Punk emerged in the late 1970s, mostly in California, when punks decided that riding waves and making noise were both equally rebellious pursuits. It’s characterised by fast tempos, catchy melodies, and a cheeky attitude that makes you feel like you're racing down the boardwalk with a piña colada in one hand and a bad attitude in the other. The genre might not have changed the world, but it certainly made flipping the bird whilst balancing on a surfboard seem like a perfectly reasonable pastime.
