Sufi Music

Sufi music began in the mystical circles of the Islamic world, particularly around the 8th century, where adherents sought to connect with the divine through rhythm and melody. Characterised by its repetitive patterns and heartfelt lyrics, it often sounds like the kind of tune that makes you want to twirl around in a flowing robe and contemplate the mysteries of existence, or at least ponder what to have for dinner. It's a genre that has inspired more spiritual epiphanies than a Sunday sermon, proving once more that music is the easiest way to get in touch with your inner self, or at least distract yourself from existential dread.
