Son Cubano

Son Cubano is a lively concoction of African and Spanish musical traditions that brewed up in eastern Cuba during the late 19th century, effectively ensuring that no fiesta would ever be quite the same again. Characterised by the combination of guitar, trumpet, and a marvellous array of percussion, it has a knack for making even the most stoic among us want to shake a limb or two, possibly whilst contemplating life decisions. This genre is so infectious that it gave birth to salsa, proving that sometimes, good things come from a bit of rhythmic chaos and a whole lot of dancing.
