Remix

Remix music, which emerged alongside the rise of electronic dance music in the late 1970s, involves taking an existing track and giving it a cheeky makeover, often with a heavier beat and a bit more sparkle. Essentially, it's what happens when a producer thinks, 'Hmm, this could do with a sprinkle of magic pixie dust and a trip to the club', turning pop hits into dancefloor anthems or even sonic experiments that leave you wondering whether you’ve just been transported to another dimension. Not to mention, it has given us countless opportunities to hear our favourite songs butchered in entirely new ways, sometimes for better, sometimes for, well, a pint may help with that determination.
