Piano Jazz

Piano Jazz emerged in the early 20th century, particularly in the smoky parlours of New Orleans, as players began to realise that having just a single instrument could actually lead to music that was both complex and rather marvellous. It typically involves intricate melodies, syncopated rhythms, and plenty of improvisation—essentially musicians taking their favourite tunes for a delightful spin whilst giving the audience just enough time to sip their drinks. One could say that Piano Jazz is where virtuosity meets cheekiness, and it's responsible for many folks declaring they'd take up the instrument only to realise it requires actual effort rather than just the ability to bang on keys like a hyperactive toddler.
