Nu Jazz
Nu Jazz emerged in the 1990s, primarily in European cities like London and Berlin, where someone got the cheeky idea to fuse jazz with electronic music and other eclectic genres, quite possibly over a pint or two. It sounds like an adventurous cocktail of improvisation, beats, and samples, often making listeners wonder if they should be sipping wine in a club or clutching a saxophone on a rainy street corner. Interestingly, Nu Jazz has been popularised enough to make jazz cool again, proving that all it takes is a synth to get the hipsters dancing and the purists rolling their eyes.
